Retail Intelligence & Foot Traffic Visibility

Pondok Indah Mall commissioned Senturian to better understand foot traffic across its retail environment through AI-powered video analytics.

The Challenge

Pondok Indah Mall needed greater visibility into the movement of people across its retail spaces.

Understanding incoming and outgoing traffic provides valuable insight into how people move through the mall and its retail environment, enabling better tenant placement, lease valuation, and staffing allocation.

The Solution: DataLibrary Edge

Senturian implemented AI Video Analytics people counting to track incoming and outgoing people traffic within the mall.

The deployment used DataLibrary Edge, providing a solution designed to reduce hardware resource requirements while maintaining flexibility to utilize additional functions and features available on the Edge device.

  • AI-powered people counting with high temporal accuracy
  • Tracking of incoming and outgoing foot traffic across entrance portals
  • Video analytics purpose-built for high-density retail environments
  • DataLibrary Edge deployment minimizing server footprint
  • Reduced hardware resource requirements and power consumption
  • Flexibility to utilize additional Edge device functions and features

Solution Impact & About Pondok Indah Mall

Pondok Indah Mall, commonly known as PIM, is a large shopping complex located in the Pondok Indah suburb of South Jakarta, Indonesia. The complex comprises three buildings: the older 3-storey PIM1, 5-storey PIM2, and the newest building, PIM3.
